Comments

  1. Morris Says: My wife and I have worked with Maria Humbane and Tendai Manyeza in Zimbabwe for over a decade. They are accomplishing wonders in their work with the poor and sick in Mutare and Old Mutare. The Old Mutare hospital desperately needs the renovation planned under the Advance. October 12th 2010 at 07:10 AM
  2. Debbie Says: Blessings on all those who leave the comforts of their home to serve God throughout the world. October 13th 2010 at 06:10 AM
  3. CINDY Says: Hope to raise awareness that only 10% of UM Churches are in Covenant Relationships with a missionary. Bless all that serve in mission. October 13th 2010 at 07:10 AM
  4. Chris Says: We are all in ministry. Our neighbors are all the people of the world. Loving our neighbors includes sending and supporting our missionaries among them, who serve and witness. What a wonderful opportunity this is to reach out to others of God's children and touch them clear on the far side of this earth. October 13th 2010 at 07:10 AM
  5. Ann Says: We at TBUMC, Traverse City MI, have always had covenant missionary relationships and I think it has not ony helps the missionaries but also enrich our congregational life. October 13th 2010 at 09:10 AM
  6. John Says: Some times we only see and get involved in our local community needs through local outreach activities. (This is not necessarily bad). However, we often only see the world through the media and it tends to glorify public figures, politicians, movie and TV stars, etc. I have been viewing these missions over the last 4 days and it has made me realize how much the church, just ordinary people like you and me, are doing in the world to the Glory of God. Thank you to those who put the 10 Fold program together. October 13th 2010 at 10:10 AM
  7. Bryan Says: Inspiring all over again! Can I go? Probably not, realistically. Can I SERVE? Of course! I have gone, when younger, where it made good sense to go. Now, my circle of influence and service is smaller, but.......... when the love of Christ is reflected in the servant's stance, the mission field is exactly where you are. Today's film is a very good reminder of the ministry and mission of EVERY Christian. Thanks. October 13th 2010 at 10:10 AM
  8. Gini Says: God Bless all that are showing their love for the Lord and being Faithful Disciplies. October 13th 2010 at 11:10 AM
  9. Becky John Says: As a former missionary, I cannot thank churches enough for their support of "my" ministry. The engagement with local congregations is fantastic. I'm a member of a church that currently doesn't have a covenant relationship so thank you, thank you, thank you for the quick facts above! They will help all of us build the case for covenant relationships. I also want to emphasize the amazing diversity of ministries that our missionaries are involved in. Understanding this helps to make a broader connection with the congregation: agriculture, medical, teaching, community and church building, ecumenical work and PEACE BUILDING! Please know that a Covenant Relationship is really easy, it also means that your congregation has the opportunity to welcome the missionary when on itineration AND it's an important part of our heritage. The World is OUR Parish. October 13th 2010 at 11:10 AM
  10. Marilyn Says: Interesting information! October 13th 2010 at 11:10 AM
